Open Data Certificates

Open Data Certificates are the mark of quality and trust for open data.

Open Data Certificates are being localised for Australia by the ODI Queensland Data Quality and Standards Working Group.

Some Australian organisations have already started earning open data certificates. Be aware as we make changes to the online questionnaire, these certificates will expire.

Certificates can be automatically awarded for data held in a CKAN portal. Once the Australian open data certificate questionnaire is finalised, we will work with data publishers to automatically award Bronze certificates.

We’re working on:

adjusting the online questionnaire to support Australian laws and policies on Rights, Licensing, Private and Sensitive data

writing help to support the localised questionnaire (Contribute on GitHub.)

We have:

assisted the ODI with re-branding, testing, and other improvements. (Follow the work on GitHub.)
